CHOOSE YOUR DIAMOND PAINTING KIT

If you are new to diamond painting, choosing your kit is an essential step that should not be overlooked. By choosing your diamond painting kit properly, you will stay focused in the long run. Depending on your preferences, you can choose diamond paintings with your favorite animals, or with flowerslandscapes, and more.

Figured'Art kits include all the accessories you need to create your diamond art:

  • an adhesive canvas numbered with symbols to match the diamond colours
  • colour-coded diamonds,
  • a tray,
  • a diamond painting pen with wax,
  • tweezers

When choosing a diamond painting, it's important to consider your skill level. If you're a beginner, you may want to start with a smaller and simpler design. As you gain more experience, you can gradually move on to larger and more complex designs.

If you're new to diamond painting, you can start with a kit labeled as "easy" in the filters. These kits usually have larger and more visible symbols, which makes it easier to find the right colour and place the diamond on the canvas.

As you progress, you can move on to more challenging designs that require more attention to detail.

It's also important to consider the size of the painting. A larger painting will take more time and effort to complete, so it may be more suitable for an experienced diamond painter.

Most of all, it's important to choose a design that you enjoy and feel excited about working on. The more you enjoy the process, the more likely you are to stick with it and continue to improve your skills.

USE A MULTI-TIP PEN TO PLACE YOUR DIAMONDS

When creating a diamond painting, a multi-tip pen is a useful tool to pick up multiple diamonds at once, which can save you time and effort, in particular when you have large areas of the same colour to fill in. It definitely saves a lot of time as you can place 3 to 5 diamonds at a time.

When using a multi-tip pen for diamond painting, you will first need to load the tip included in your kit with diamonds. To do this, you can pick up a small number of diamonds from the tray using the pen's tips. You can then place the diamonds on the corresponding symbols on the canvas.

TAPE THE CORNERS OF YOUR DIAMOND PAINTING CANVAS

Taping the corners of your diamond painting canvas can be a useful technique to keep the canvas in place and prevent it from moving while you work. This can help to ensure that your diamonds are placed accurately and that the finished painting looks neat and even.

Place the canvas on a flat surface such as a table or desk and use a small piece of clear tape or masking tape on the top left corner of the canvas, pressing down firmly to secure it in place. Repeat this process on the top right, bottom left, and bottom right corners of the canvas and you are good to go!

You can also use the tape to create a border around the edges of the canvas, this will prevent the diamond painting from sliding around while you work.

It's important to note that the tape should not be too tight as it can stretch the canvas and affect the overall appearance of the painting. Also, when you are finished with the painting, be sure to remove the tape carefully to avoid tearing the canvas or leaving any sticky residue.

Taping the corners of a diamond painting canvas can help to keep the canvas in place and improve the accuracy of your work, but it's important to be gentle when applying and removing the tape to avoid damaging the canvas.

ALIGN YOUR DIAMONDS CAREFULLY

When working on your diamond painting, it is important to apply the diamonds to the canvas in a methodical manner. There are different diamond painting techniques that you can use. You are free to choose the method of your choice.

Depending on your preference, you can glue the diamonds colour by colour, square by square or row by row. These different techniques allow you to better follow the progress of your diamond painting. Do not hesitate to check if your diamonds are uniform as you go along with a ruler once they are glued to the fabric.
